It is imperative not to expose the extremely sharp teeth to a maximum work load already at the beginning of the sawing work. Overloading the saw too soon may lead to tooth breakage. Running a saw in before operation ensures a correct wear for the teeth. You can run in a Band Saw Blade correctly by operating it at half the normal feed rate and at the recommended cutting speed when sawing the first 300 – 500 cm². After running the blade in, you can progressively increase the feed rate until you reach the prescribed speed. If any vibrations or loss of balance start occurring, you have to adjust the pre-set cutting speed.
